Last week, the newest, and LAST installment of Harry Potter hit the big screen. I saw a 3D showing of the film, which was actually completely unintentional. After I put the 3D glasses over my own glasses, I settled in and watched the last film.
This was one of the best movies of the franchise. Hard to say but they saved one of the best for last. As in my previous post about PART 1, its predecessor was long, and dragged out at 2 1/2 hours. This one was around the same, but jam-packed with action, great visuals and CGI, and great conclusion to the movie.
In this film, we see the conclusion to the hunt for the horcruxes as laid out in Part 1. We also get some answers to previously unanswered questions from earlier installments. The usual villians have returned: Snape, Voldemort, The Malfoys, Beatrice LeStrange, etc. However, this is the epic battle of good vs. evil.
Does good or evil win? I will not spoil.
In this film, all the Hogwarts students are all grown up (most the ones we see are the students from Harry’s class), and some of them don’t even look like their younger versions (NEVILLE). We also get some insight into main characters we had never seen before. Great fight scenes also.
The movie is well worth seeing, I didn’t mind payng $13 to see it. I would suggest seeing it in normal 2D. with Imax or 3D, it may get a little overwhelming at times.
